Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, friends!

This is the time of year when we all take time to reflect on where we've been, where we are, and where we hope to be in the coming year. 2012 brought some great opportunities and I took on a lot of exciting projects, including developing and launching my site and blog, trying my hand at some product photography and learning some new techniques. Now it's time to look ahead to 2013. I've spent the last couple days of my winter vacation setting and starting work toward some goals - I don't want to call them "resolutions" because resolutions are usually well-meant but broken within a few months.
  1. Be more active with this blog. I started out doing pretty well, but I've gotten lax over the past few months. When I started this blog I wasn't really sure what direction I wanted it to take and  tried to force myself to keep to a two-post-per-month schedule. In theory that sounded great, but I found it really needs to be more organic than that.
  2. Market myself better.  I've never been very good at the shameless self-promotion thing, and that's something I need to get over.
  3. Make better use of my Facebook page. This ties in with the above, and I've started working on doing so in the past few weeks. I hope to continue that trend throughout this year.
  4. Revamp my site. Some exciting changes are coming, including refreshed and reorganized galleries, new photos and completely revised pricing. I've started weeding out some of the least popular photos already, but don't worry if one of your favorites disappears. Everything is being archived for easy access in the future.
While all of the above is a great start, I'm more interested to hear your thoughts. What do you like about my site, the blog, my Facebook page? What changes would you like to see? Your honest feedback is extremely valuable and helps me to tailor your experience to be as seamless and positive as possible. If you do have a moment to spare to share your thoughts either here, via private message on my FB page, or through email, I'll send you a coupon code good for $5 off your next purchase of $10 or more.

Thanks for your continued support, and may your 2013 be filled with blessings!
